Yes. You have full root access to your server and can install whatever you consider necessary, including game servers.
Please note that we do not provide consultancy on setting up or configuring game servers — installation, configuration and administration of the game software are up to you. Our support covers the server itself: the hardware, the network and the operating system.
Worth keeping in mind
- Resources. Game servers are usually more demanding of processor performance and of low latency than they are of disk space. If you are unsure which configuration suits the number of players you expect, describe your plans in a ticket before ordering and we will suggest something.
- Attacks. Game servers attract DDoS attacks noticeably more often than ordinary websites. Bear this in mind when planning your project.
