Your first invoice is usually higher than the price shown on the website, because it includes more than just the rental for the period.
What the first invoice consists of
- A one-off setup fee. This covers the initial provisioning of your service and depends on the product you have chosen. It is charged only once, when the service is set up — it does not appear on any of your later invoices.
- The rental for the billing period you selected. This is the recurring amount for your service, for the cycle you chose when ordering.
Two other things that affect the total
VAT. Prices on the website are net prices and do not include VAT — see Is VAT included in the prices shown on the website? Depending on where you are based and on your tax status, VAT may be added to the total.
The billing cycle. If you selected a longer billing cycle than the one displayed on the website, the invoice covers that whole period, so the amount is correspondingly higher.
What your later invoices will look like
From the second invoice onwards you pay the rental only, for each new billing period. The setup fee is not repeated.
The full breakdown — the setup fee, the rental, the period covered and any VAT — is shown on the invoice itself in your client area. If the amount still does not look right to you, open a ticket with our Billing department and we will go through it with you.
