All prices shown on our website are net prices and do not include VAT. Whether VAT is added to your invoice, and at which rate, depends on where you are based and on your tax status.
Clients in Germany
If you are subject to VAT in Germany, 19% German VAT is added to the listed price.
Clients in other EU countries
VAT is added at the rate applicable in your own country, not the German rate. Rates differ from one member state to another, so the total on your invoice depends on where you are based.
Business clients in the EU with a valid VAT ID
If you are a business in an EU country other than Germany and have a valid EU VAT ID, the reverse charge procedure applies: we do not charge VAT and the tax liability passes to you. In this case you pay exactly the listed net price.
Please make sure your VAT ID is entered correctly in your client area and is valid at the time the invoice is issued. If we have no valid VAT ID on file, VAT is added at the rate of your country.
Which amount will I actually be charged?
The exact amount, including the VAT rate applied and the total, is always shown on the invoice before you pay it. You can review any invoice in your client area under Billing → My Invoices.
Your country is taken from the address stored in your client area, so please keep it up to date — it determines how VAT is calculated on your invoices.
