ISPmanager runs on modern Linux distributions based on Debian or RHEL. It does not run on Windows.
The exact list of supported distributions and versions changes with each release of the panel, so rather than reproducing it here — where it would quietly go out of date — see the current list in the vendor's documentation: ISPmanager system requirements.
What this means in practice
When you order a server with ISPmanager from us, the operating system and the panel are installed in a supported combination, so there is nothing for you to check.
It matters in two situations:
- You want the panel on an existing server — the distribution already installed there has to be a supported one. Tell us which server it is and we will check.
- Your operating system is approaching end of life — once a distribution stops receiving updates, the panel stops supporting it as well, and the server needs to be moved to a newer version. This is not something to leave until it becomes urgent: it involves reinstalling the server and transferring data, which takes planning.
If you are unsure which operating system your server is running, or whether it is still supported, open a ticket from your client area and we will tell you and suggest what to do next.
